What is Tabata?
Tabata is a HIIT protocol: short intense work intervals followed by short rest, repeated for a fixed number of rounds. This timer alternates work/rest and beeps at transitions (sound enabled after your first click).
Explanation

Tabata is a fixed HIIT format: typically 20s work / 10s rest for 8 rounds.

  • Total time for one Tabata block ≈ 8 × (20s + 10s) = 4 minutes (before warmup/cooldown if used).
  • Audio cues help you switch phases.
